Black Halloween Monster Cookies
Ingredients:
- For the Chocolate Cookie Base:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (creamy white)
- 1 cup brown sugar (golden brown)
- ½ cup granulated sugar (white)
- 2 large eggs (brown/white)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract (clear)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (white)
- 1 cup dark cocoa powder (dark brown/black)
- 1 tsp baking soda (white)
- ½ tsp salt (white)
- For the Peanut Butter Filling (Eyes & Teeth):
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter (light brown)
- ¼ cup powdered sugar (white)
- 2 tbsp softened butter (creamy white)
- For Decoration:

- Instructions:
- Make the Peanut Butter Dough: Mix peanut butter, powdered sugar, and butter until thick. Shape small ovals for eyes and teeth. Set aside.
- Prepare the Chocolate Cookie Dough: Cream butter with sugars until fluffy. Add eggs + vanilla. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix until combined.
- Shape the Cookie Face: On a lined baking tray, flatten a large round of chocolate dough. Gently press the peanut butter ovals into place to form eyes, teeth, and a nose.
- Bake: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12–15 min until set. Let cool completely.
- Decorate: Use black royal icing/gel to pipe creepy stitched lines across the face. Let it dry before serving.
