Smoked Chicken Wings

INGREDIENTS:

2 pounds chicken wings

1/4 cup olive oil

2 tablespoons smoked paprika

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

1/2 cup barbecue sauce (optional for serving)

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (110°C).

In a large bowl, mix the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, ground cumin, chili powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using) until well combined.

Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the spice mixture.

Arrange the wings in a single layer on the smoker racks.

Smoke the chicken wings for 2 to 2.5 hours, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and have a nice smoky color.

If desired, brush the wings with barbecue sauce during the last 30 minutes of smoking.

Remove the wings from the smoker and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side.
