This recipe is naturally keto-friendly, high in healthy fats, and packed with protein — all without sacrificing flavor.
Ingredients
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Prepare the Shrimp
Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and black pepper.
Sauté the Shrimp
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter.
Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and just cooked through.
Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside. Do not overcook.
Make the Garlic Cream Sauce
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 2–3 minutes, allowing it to reduce slightly.
Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes if using.
Simmer for 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Finish the Dish
Return shrimp to the skillet and coat in the sauce.
Add lemon juice and stir gently.
Cook for another 1–2 minutes until everything is heated through.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Serving Suggestions
Serve over zucchini noodles, cauliflower rice, or steamed broccoli for a complete keto meal. It’s also delicious spooned over sautéed spinach.
Storage
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently over low heat to prevent the sauce from separating.
Keto Creamy Garlic Shrimp is indulgent, garlicky, and perfectly creamy — proof that low-carb meals can be both simple and restaurant-quality.
