McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish

McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish

INGREDIENTS:

For the fish fillets:

4 fish fillets (such as cod or haddock), about 4-6 oz each

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp paprika

Vegetable oil for frying

For assembly:

4 hamburger buns

Tartar sauce (homemade or store-bought)

Sliced American cheese

Sliced dill pickles

Shredded lettuce (optional)

Instructions:

Pat dry the fish fillets with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

Dredge each fish fillet in the seasoned flour mixture, shaking off any excess.

In a large skillet, heat enough vegetable oil over medium-high heat to shallow fry the fish fillets. Fry the fish fillets for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.

Toast the hamburger buns lightly.

To assemble each sandwich, spread tartar sauce on both halves of the toasted bun.

Place a slice of American cheese on the bottom half of each bun.

Place a fried fish fillet on top of the cheese.

Top each fish fillet with sliced dill pickles and shredded lettuce (if using).

Close the sandwich with the top half of the bun.

Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish sandwiches!

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cook Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 25 minutes | Servings: Makes 4 sandwiches

Notes:

You can customize the toppings to your preference, such as adding extra tartar sauce or using different types of cheese.

For a lighter option, you can bake the fish fillets instead of frying them.

Serve with a side of fries or a salad for a complete meal.
