Iced Pecan Cookie Balls

Ingredients

For the cookie balls:
1 cup softened butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup finely chopped pecans

For the glaze:
2 cups powdered sugar
3–4 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
(Optional) extra chopped pecans for topping

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a bowl, cream the butter and powdered sugar until smooth. Mix in vanilla.

Add the flour and salt. Stir until a soft dough forms. Fold in the chopped pecans.

Roll the dough into small balls and place them on the baking sheet.

Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the bottoms are lightly golden. Let them cool slightly.

Prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.

Dip each warm cookie ball into the glaze or spoon the glaze over them. Place on a rack to set.

Let the glaze firm up, then serve.
