Ingredients
12 ounces spaghetti
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 jar (24 ounces) marinara or spaghetti sauce
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until softened.
Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease if needed.
Stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
In a separate bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
Place the drained spaghetti into a large mixing bowl. Add the cream cheese mixture and toss until the pasta is evenly coated.
Spread half of the spaghetti mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Pour the meat sauce evenly over the pasta layer.
Top with the remaining spaghetti mixture.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the top, followed by Parmesan cheese.
Bake uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Allow the casserole to rest for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
