Cheesy Garlic Parmesan Crusted Chicken Cutlets
Cheesy garlic Parmesan crusted chicken cutlets are crispy, golden, and packed with savory flavor. Thin chicken cutlets are coated in a cheesy garlic crust and baked to juicy perfection, making this dish both comforting and easy enough for weeknights.
Ingredients:
4 chicken cutlets (thinly sliced chicken breasts)
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup breadcrumbs or panko
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup melted butter or olive oil
1 large egg
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Pat the chicken cutlets dry with paper towels.
In a shallow bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
In another bowl, beat the egg until smooth.
Dip each chicken cutlet into the egg, letting excess drip off, then press firmly into the Parmesan mixture to coat both sides.
Place the coated cutlets onto the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle or brush with melted butter or olive oil.
Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, until the crust is golden and the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
For extra crispiness, broil for 1 to 2 minutes at the end, watching closely.
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Helpful Tips:
Thin cutlets cook quickly and stay juicy.
Freshly grated Parmesan creates the best crust.
Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure even browning.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve with pasta, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables.
Pair with a crisp salad or steamed green beans.
Drizzle with lemon juice or serve with marinara for dipping.
Cheesy garlic Parmesan crusted chicken cutlets are crispy, flavorful, and irresistibly satisfying — a simple dish that feels like comfort food done right.
