Ingredients:
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 cup cooked ham, finely chopped or thinly sliced
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or mozzarella)
2 tablespoons Dijon or yellow mustard
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle.
Spread the mustard evenly over the pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
Sprinkle the ham evenly over the mustard, then top with the shredded cheese.
Starting from one long side, roll the pastry tightly into a log.
Using a sharp knife, slice the log into 1-inch thick pinwheels.
Place the pinwheels flat on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
Brush the tops lightly with the beaten egg.
Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until the pinwheels are puffed and golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
