Air Fryer Gammon
Ingredients:
1 gammon joint (about 2 pounds / 900 g)
1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
Optional glaze: 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar mixed with 1 tablespoon mustard
Instructions:
Remove the gammon from its packaging and pat dry with paper towels. If the gammon is very salty, soak it in cold water for 1 to 2 hours, then drain and pat dry.
Rub the gammon all over with olive oil or melted butter. Season with black pepper and paprika.
Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (180°C).
Place the gammon in the air fryer basket, fat side up. Cook for 40 minutes.
After 40 minutes, brush the optional honey mustard glaze over the top.
Return the gammon to the air fryer and cook for another 15 to 20 minutes, until the outside is caramelized and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
Remove from the air fryer and let the gammon rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
