Grinch Oreo Balls
Ingredients:
– 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies – 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened – 12 oz white chocolate chips or candy melts – Green food coloring – Red and white decorating icing or gel – Small edible eyes (optional) – Pretzel sticks (optional)
Directions:
1. Crush Oreo cookies finely using a food processor or place them in a sealed bag and crush with a rolling pin. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed Oreos and softened cream cheese until well mixed. 3. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. 4. Freeze the balls for at least 30 minutes to firm up. 5. Melt the white chocolate chips or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. 6. Add green food coloring to the melted chocolate and mix well until you achieve your desired shade of green. 7. Dip each Oreo ball into the green chocolate, using a fork or dipping tool to coat fully. Allow excess to drip off. 8. Return coated balls to the parchment paper and let them set at room temperature or in the refrigerator until hardened. 9. Use red and white decorating icing or gel to draw Grinch features like a mischievous smile or hat trim. 10. Attach edible eyes with a dab of melted chocolate or place pretzel sticks as arms if desired. 11. Chill the decorated Oreo balls until ready to serve.
