A beautifully simple no-bake dessert that’s perfect for any occasion! It combines layers of creamy goodness, soft biscuits, and juicy fruits for a refreshing, elegant treat. Each bite offers a balance of smooth cream, tender biscuits soaked in flavor, and bursts of fruity sweetness.
Ingredients:
For the Cream Layer:
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream (or chilled fresh cream)
- 1 cup cream cheese or mascarpone (optional for richness)
- ½ cup powdered sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Biscuit Layer:
- 1 to 1½ packets of tea biscuits, digestive biscuits, or graham crackers
- 1 cup milk (for dipping biscuits)
- 1 tablespoon instant coffee or cocoa powder (optional, to flavor the milk)
For the Fruit Layer:
- 2 cups assorted fruits, diced (bananas, strawberries, kiwi, peaches, mangoes, or berries)
- Optional: 2 tablespoons honey or sugar (if fruits are tart)
- Lemon juice (to prevent browning of fruits like apples or bananas)
Optional Garnishes:
- Shaved chocolate or cocoa powder
- Crushed nuts (almonds, pistachios, or hazelnuts)
- Biscuit crumbs
- Fruit slices for decoration
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Cream
- In a large mixing bowl, whip the cold cream using an electric mixer until it starts to thicken.
- Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and continue to whip until soft peaks form.
- If using cream cheese or mascarpone, beat it separately until smooth, then gently fold it into the whipped cream.
- Refrigerate for 15 minutes to chill and firm slightly.
Step 2: Prepare the Fruits
- Wash, peel, and chop your chosen fruits into small cubes.
- Toss them with a drizzle of lemon juice and honey (optional). Set aside.
Step 3: Prepare the Biscuit Layer
- Mix milk and instant coffee (or cocoa powder) in a shallow dish.
- Quickly dip each biscuit into the milk for 1–2 seconds — just enough to soften slightly without making them soggy.
Step 4: Assemble the Layers
- In a glass dish or dessert cups, start with a layer of dipped biscuits at the bottom.
- Spread an even layer of whipped cream mixture over the biscuits.
- Add a layer of chopped fruits.
- Repeat the layers — biscuits, cream, and fruits — until all ingredients are used, finishing with a thick cream layer on top.
- Garnish with fruit slices, biscuit crumbs, or chocolate shavings.
Step 5: Chill and Serve
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to allow the layers to set and flavors to blend.
- Serve chilled, and enjoy the refreshing mix of creaminess, crunch, and fruity delight!
Tips & Variations:
- Tropical Twist: Use mango, pineapple, and coconut flakes for a summery touch.
- Chocolate Lovers: Add melted chocolate or Nutella between layers.
- Berry Bliss: Use mixed berries and drizzle each layer with berry syrup.
- Healthier Option: Replace whipped cream with Greek yogurt sweetened with honey.
