Potato Pancakes from Germany

These German potato pancakes are a tasty alternative to traditional pancakes. They are a delicious dinner option when paired with Bratwurst sausage. I put cranberry sauce on mine and then pour maple syrup on top.

List of items needed to make a recipe.

2 big eggs

2 tablespoons of regular flour

1/4 teaspoon of baking powder

Half a teaspoon of salt

1/4 teaspoon of pepper

6 average-sized potatoes, peeled and grated

1/2 cup of onion, chopped into small pieces.

1/4 cup of vegetable oil

HOW TO PREPAREĀ

Mix eggs, flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a big bowl. Then, add potatoes and onion.

Warm up oil in a big pan on medium heat.

Place large spoonfuls of the potato mixture into the hot oil in small groups. Push to make flat.

Cook until golden and crispy, approximately 3 minutes on each side.

Move to a plate with paper towels to remove excess oil. Repeat with the rest of the potato mixture.
