INGREDIENTS:
4 cups broccoli florets
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
2 cups milk
2 cups chicken broth
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS:
Steam broccoli florets until tender.
In a pot, melt butter and stir in flour to make a roux. Gradually whisk in milk and chicken broth.
Stir in steamed broccoli and shredded cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
Simmer until the soup is thick and creamy.
