INGREDIENTS:
4 pork chops
1/4 cup honey
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
In a small bowl, mix together the honey, minced garlic, and soy sauce to make the marinade.
Place the pork chops in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag, and pour the marinade over them. Make sure the pork chops are well coated. Allow them to marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator. The longer they marinate, the more flavorful they will be.
After marinating, remove the pork chops from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 15 minutes.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the skillet is hot, add the pork chops, but discard any excess marinade. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper to taste.
Cook the pork chops for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are nicely browned and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
Once the pork chops are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
